COVID19 continues to dominate our lives, we are well into the second month of #StayAtHome and while we are settling into routines of being a key worker or working from home there are still anxieties and obstacles to overcome. However, we all need reminding: this is a global pandemic and individually we are getting through this the best we can. But…all eyes are online, a generation of Baby Zoomers are being forced online, keep visible and keep posting.
Mental Health Awareness Week starts on Monday 18th May 2020 and is focused on celebrating the thousands of acts of kindness that are important to our mental health. In these testing times the kindness of people has been overwhelming, there is lots to celebrate.
Walking has been a great escape for me in these challenging and sometimes overwhelming times. A good audiobook and a little wander from home have helped me through these uncertain weeks. Friday 1st May 2020 is the start of National Walking Month, as well as Local and Community History Month. There is so much to explore in my local area – what’s the history around where your business is based?
Stories are at the heart of National Share A Story Month organised by the Federation of Children’s Book Groups (beginning Friday 1st May 2020). Book sellers, children’s organisations, and similar groups can all share content on helping parents and children read together, so important always but especially right now. It’s also National Children’s Day on Sunday 17th May 2020, the theme is Small Steps Big Learnings – again very apt right now.
