September. Back to school (thank goodness), back to college and university. The return of International Talk like a Pirate Day on 19/09/2026, shiver me timbers! The shorter days are starting to make themselves more noticeable and the ramp up towards the end of the year (while it might seem too early to be mentioning Christmas, it is coming up and your business needs to be ready). Are you thinking ahead over the next few months? A good carefully crafted campaign reaps rewards. A strategy, planned schedule, consistency, and clear messaging will help you shine online.
If you’d like to discuss how to do this contact me here or via my socials. Whatever you do, don’t post and pray.
World Suicide Prevention Day takes place on 10/09/2026, here are some resources. It’s okay not to feel okay, talk. I’m a mental health champion and you can reach out.
Summer is almost over. That said, businesses and organisations related to tourism have an opportunity to share what is special and great about their corner of the world on 27/09/2026 for World Tourism Day. Heritage Open Days return between 11/09/2026 and 20/09/2026, National Sporting Heritage Day is 30/09/2026, and Great British Beach Clean runs between 18/09/2026 and 27/09/2026. If you are local to my beloved Farsley then you’ll also be excited for the annual Aston Martin Day on 05/09/2026.
Roald Dahl Story Day is 13/09/2026. His writing to me as a child was magical and to me he is one of the best storytellers there ever was. I know some of it is outdated now but Matilda will always have a special place in my heart.
The Soil Association’s Organic September starts 01/09/2026. This years theme is “try organic and see the difference it can make”.
How well prepared is your business over privacy? There’s been a number of high profile leaks and hacks of personal sensitive information recently involving police forces, pension providers, and other organisations. 28/09/2026 is International Right To Know Day, and it is an excellent opportunity to strengthen your data protection policies and share details on your social media.
Also Ask A Stupid Question Day is 28/09/2026. There is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to your socials, my inbox is open and you can ask anything anonymously.
