February Content Prompts

February Content Prompts

Here’s some content prompts for February. Awareness days, weeks, months, as well as dates and events that may pass you by or you need to put some preparation in to maximise the opportunity for your business.

Big hint – have you got your Valentine’s campaign planned yet?

Not all of them will be relevant to every business. If you’d like any hints or tips on ways to incorporate and of these into your business, then please get in touch.

LGBT History Month
This was launched in 2005 to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public. Increasing the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, their history, lives and their experiences.

Monday 3 February – Pull a Sickie Day
According to national statistics the first Monday in February is the day when people are most likely to pull a sickie.

3-9 February – Children’s Mental Health Week
Founded by Place2Be, the week aims to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. The theme this year is ‘Find your Brave’, something we all need to do sometimes no matter what our age.

3-7 February -National Apprenticeship Week
This is the 13th National Apprenticeship Week. National Apprenticeship Week is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships across England and is a time to recognise and applaud apprenticeship success stories across the country. Does your business have an apprenticeship scheme, have you got a successful apprentice or where you an apprentice? Now’s the time to share your story.

4-8 February – National Storytelling Week
Remember everyone has at least one story to tell, this is the perfect prompt to tell your story or stories…Once upon a time…

6 February – Time to Talk Day
Time to Talk Day takes place on the first Thursday in February every year. It encourages the nation to have an open conversation about mental health, to talk, listen and change lives. Every business should be able to get behind this.

14 February – Valentine’s Day
Love it or loath it, it’s a great marketing opportunity and you can have some fun with a bit of lovey-dovey content. Here’s a few ideas:

– Valentine gift guides
– Meals/recipes for two
– Date night ideas
– Galentine’s Day
– Palentine’s Day
– Self-Love
– Beauty ideas/gift vouchers
– A post about how much you hate V-Day!

17 February – Random Act of Kindness Day
This one is self-explanatory! It’s nice to be nice. Also here in Leeds it’s the first day of half-term so buy that exhausted mum a cuppa or if you own a café, give a piece of cake away. Shout out a few of your favourite businesses and give them a bit of free advertising, we can all get on board with this one.

27 February – International Polar Bear Day
Because who doesn’t love a Polar Bear! It could also be a chance to talk about the environment and anything your business is doing to combat climate change.

29th February -Leap Year
The day a woman can traditionally propose, without looking a bit desperate. A very outdated and sexist concept, modern women should be able to propose when and how they want, but I’m a sucker for tradition. I bet you that at least one person pops up in your social feeds with an announcement. It’s one way to choose your own ring, right?!
– Beauticians – think nails for the photos
– Photographers – think engagement shoots
– Jewellers – think bling
– Restaurants – think arranging a meal worthy of a woman asking for her man’s hand in marriage.

I hope you find these useful. Tag me in your posts, I’d love to know how you get on.

Clare.
